Patent Search Fees
A patentability search is not required, but is advisable.
Costs range from $300 - $500 for an informal patent search depending on complexity.
For a formal patent search and patentability opinion, costs are $700 - $1,200. The patentability opinion is written by a registered U.S. Patent Attorney.
Trademark Application Fees
Trademark Application (Discounted) Service Fee ... $280 USD
US Government Filing Fee ... $250 USD
This includes preparing and filing the application along with specimens of use. A friendly preliminary trademark search is included, at no cost or obligation. Some applications may be granted right away, others may receive an office action, and the costs for such a response may vary depending on what is needed, some costs being very low while others may require legal research and legal arguments. We provide estimates in advance for the cost of any responses that may be needed.
